Here is what we have been doing in Houston, from serving meals to paying people to help clean up the neighborhood.

OUR FIRST CLEANUP PROJECT
For our first project as a nonprofit, we invited neighbors experiencing homelessness or hardship to earn money by helping clean up the surrounding area.
We provided bags and gloves, explained the work, and paid people for the trash they collected. Our goal was to offer a practical way to earn money while caring for the neighborhood. Each person’s time and effort mattered, and we wanted the way we worked together to reflect that.

We invited people nearby to pick up trash and explained how they would be paid.
We gave people bags and gloves so they could get started.
People brought back the trash they collected and received payment.

SHARING FOOD
Our food outreaches begin with a meal and a willingness to spend time with people. We prepare food for neighbors experiencing homelessness or having a hard time making ends meet, with the hope of offering encouragement as well as something to eat.
We make room to listen, share conversation, and get to know the people we meet. Our faith in Jesus is what brings us here; showing His love through care and respect is the goal.

WHAT IS NEXT
We want to keep serving food and try more projects that help people and the neighborhood. We will post plans here once they are confirmed.
